I got a request for this picture from a friend who's moved clear across the country.
The Granada theater is in an old neighborhood not far from where I grew up.
I stopped on my way home from work to take the picture.
As I was standing outside taking this shot, the owner walked up.
I've known him for years through mutual friends, though neither of us could recall which friends.
I told him what I was doing out front of his place and he said "Let me show you what we're doing in here."
He's been working to restore the old place to it's former glory, complete with pipe organ.
He showed me around, told me some stories, and then sat down to play the pipes.
It was a glorious sound!

And the "I Love Lucy" on the marquee? Lucy is his wife's name!
