After driving a few hours from town, we arrived just after lunch time.
Cathi and I checked into our favorite motel, a quaint little place with beautiful garden patio out back and a view to the ocean.
It's the same place we stay whenever we come over to Cayucos, and they know us by name.
We unpacked our stuff and took a leisurely walk to find some lunch.
We sat on the patio of the little restaurant, the sun crystal clear and the ocean breeze brisk from the sea, and ate our fish and chips.
Next on the list was a quiet and well earned nap.

It was a nice change from the sweltering heat and thick, hot, dirty air from home.
