Seven of us nature enthusiasts went to Nasami Farms to help inventory the different taxa there. It was the hottest day of the summer, 100 degrees, and really humid. Being so hot, most of us wore shorts, and that was a mistake. The property was beautiful, but walking around through all the rice-cut grass, stinging nettles, and multiflora rose drew blood from all of us. Even so it was a wonderful day, being outside with good company, seeing interesting species, and topping it off with a stop for ice cream.
