This is a nice photo but it isn't Daphnia but rather a different related cladoeceran, Simocephalus.. It is hard to tell from this angle but the lack of tail spine and the thickness of the base of the second antennae (the large ones used for swimming) lead me to this conclusion. The other photo of Daphnia, really is.
