Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls, WA

Normally, an image like this would get tossed into the bit
bucket. In this case though, I like the surreal effect of
the blown-out sun highlights and the eerie purple haze. It's
really quite a surreal place, so the image fits.

Note the unusually short exposure time.

Odd but somehow strangely fasinating photo, it's one those photo's that you can look at for ages and not get bored. Thanks for sharing it and not tossing it away.

If a photo can be stunning, well this one is. Just brilliant. Good work. Bea.

Laura; Yikes - how could I miss that? I *think* it is a remanant of trying to clone out some vignetting , but I can't be sure. Nothing a wee bit of cropping can't cure though. Thanks for mentioning it! 8-)

This is wonderful, Tim. I like how unusual it is too and think it would've been a sad thing had you tossed it. I agree the sun and "purple"ness work. I love the angle you chose for this. I do wonder about the top left corner though - what is that?
