Lochnagar

Taken from the infamous road between Crathie and Gairnshiel. Infamous as it usually spends half the winter being impassable. I was up for sunrise today, pity it didn't show itself properly! Fortunately on the road today there was only a thin covering of snow and briefly the clouds almost parted. Half an hour later on my way home it was dinging it down with snow, and we managed to accumulate about 4-5". But I love snow:-)

A wonderful vista of these snow clad mountains, especialy appealing when we are in a prolonged heatwave. V.

Good choice of viewpoint with the old fence making a good lead-in to the tree clad hill and snow covered mountains.
We had a couple of flakes of snow today but nothing worth talking about.
