Great pictures. It brings me back to a beautiful country. If you have any influence on the composition of background and text. Make it more contrasting, like plain white or light blue, yellow on black.

Am using a cheapo Olympus C3000Z with a lowly 32-96mm (35mm equivalent) zoom lens. As when you do prints from film in the darkroom, you should do some "manipulation" in your computer to imporove your pictures. Everybody does that. Up to what extent you should do some manipulation, now depends on you. Some brightening up or darkening the picture or parts of it is what I usually do.

IMHO, take these 6 photographs out, then we have a world-class exhibit: Shell Gatherer, Rooster Bath, Boy with the Look, Blue Noon, Silver Bromeliad, Ready for Salting and Drying

Digicam is the future, but until now I am still using film, though I personally have a Kodak DCS 265 Zoom, 1.3 megapixel, since 1997. I also used other digicam when I was a Kyodo potog . Digital images are great with monitors and other computer-based printers. Once we go to coffee-table photo book publishing, and use one digiphoto as a 2-page spread, malaking problema.This is my experience with EDSA 2. Digital noise and blue overcast is a big problem. Kahit ano pang gawin namin sa Photoshop. What I think we can do with future photo book project is to print the image sa Fuji lab, and then drum scan the print sa isang pre-press shop. But with the advent of 7 to 10 megapixel resolution still digicams, siguro pwede na.

Sabi ng tukayo mong si Bobby Coloma, way back in the early 80s, hindi daw kayang pagsabayin ang photography at reporting (mahilig din siya sa camera dati), pero mukhang ikaw ang exception to the rule.
