Tim's Shay

I started building this 2-1/4 inch scale, 7-1/4 inch gauge Shay around 1997. It is built mostly by scratch - I used Stuart castings for the cylinders. I am using (and slightly modifying) the plans of the Mich-Cal Shay #2 from the book "Logging with Steam" by W.M. Harris; published by the Village press (Live Steam magazine). It is fired with propane.
