Wild Burro

Oatman, AZ

Burros run wild in Arizona. They are left over from the mining days. They cross the roads around Lake Havasu and there are flashing signs right outside of town warning that they may cross in front of your car.
We went to the gold mining town of Oatman where there are many walking the streets begging. This burro was eager to take a carrot from Olivia.

Friendly sort...
Cute shot, Cindy. I like the show of intent in his face.

Lovely shot Cindy.
Terry is right about holding the snack in the palm of the hand.
They have strong front teeth and can unintentionally break a finger.

Watch those fingers, though! Love the shot!
(Best to hold a small carrot or treat in the palm of the hand. Some critters
get a little pushy) :)
