Great Plains

Gove County, Kansas

This shot was taken after finally finding Castle Rock, west of Hays, Kansas. The location is about 30 miles out a dirt road, after turning off two other dirt roads...
Late in the afternoon, the temperature was about 104 degrees at the time I shot this. (40C)

A lovely photo Michael.
A worthy reward for your long dusty drive.

Whew!! And I'm sure the 104 was with lots of humidity...
Really nice landscape, Michael. That rotted tree in the foreground provides
not only depth but some nice interest too.
