The Take-Off

Murfreesboro,TN

An American Robin leaves a holly tree.
I had never seen these birds eating anything but invertebrates, in all my years. Yesterday, the Foster Holly was full of more than a dozen of these guys, all going after berries.
The day was cold and windy, thus, the holly leaves are moving.

Very eye-catching, Michael! Yep, they eat insects, earthworms, and berries :)
Nice timing.
