How cool is that. Looks like there are quite a few young ones too!

An interesting image Michael, in fact I didn't know that there were any wild turkeys... although we do have a few here in Australia, localised in the Canberra area on Capital hill... :-D

So nice to see wild Turkeys _ thought they were all farmed these days.

Shiloh must be a veritable wildlife sanctuary, Michael.
I like this image very much. How exciting to see the youngsters.
Thanks for posting this!

Thanks, Cindy and Hal. These animals really will ordinarily give you much less caution than those outside the park. I am processing some Fuji Acros 100 right now that will, I really hope, show you just HOW close I can get sometimes...

Most interesting shot Michael.
Unlike the Oz wild turkeys that seem to be turkeys in name only,
these look like the domesticated birds.
A fine shot and they don't seem too concerned at you aiming your 135mm at them

A lovely family shot! :-)

What a wonderful (and sobering) place to spend time.
The turkeys don't seem to be noticing you.

Absolutely FULL of them, Bob.
Saw a gang of 20 deer grazing yesterday.
The turkey population rivals the deer, and you know how the rabbits are; who knows how many of those guys there are today?

Not only is it a beautiful park with deep historical significance commanding profound respect, but it's full of critters... a great place to hang out.
