In February of this year, I lost one of my best friends, totally unexpectedly, after surgery, of a pulmonary embolus. He was a great friend, and a great man.
Sherri and I loved him very much.
I still hurt when I think of him, more than three months later. He was loved by many. But he was my friend. I will miss him always...
I shot this image that cold, cold, evening, when I knew he had only a few moments left to live. It was all I knew to do to express my feelings. I have never known pain of loss like this in my life.
