Both parade pics are special, for different reasons. Great work!

Very nice, Cindy. Hope you got a shot of the tuba player!

You're fortunate to have had the celebration...Sherri and I were driving home across the countryside; very little oageantry.
Love that sharp 75 'lux...
Just come to Mississippi and drop it off: I'll take care of it for ya...
Happy Holiday,
Michael

Thank you for the kind comments Pat, Terry, Cindi, Hal, and Deb.

Hal, This was a local High School marching band, not a military band. Several schools in the are were represented by their marching bands.

Great action shot here, Cindy. I love marching bands... used to be a 'flag girl' in the dance corps with our band, so I've got quite a soft spot for marchers ;-) Thanks for the happy memories this brought up for me!

l was just going to say that l can almost hear them,
but Cindi beat me to it.
lt seems unusual to me to see Alto Saxophones in a military band.
Our memorial day parade has bands too, but not as smart as this one.
A very fine photo, Cindy.

I can almost hear the music!
Terry 01-Jun-2010 15:43
This is great, Cindy - The focus and dof is just
right! I think its one of your top images. Could
be a Norman Rockwell picture with great human appeal.

Oh I love a parade and both these shots are well taken.. and well composed... the red here really pops.
