I've counted as many as six Cormorants on this abandoned Loon raft. Loon rafts are placed by the MA Fish & Game
to protect their nests from being inundated by fluctuating water levels.
Once the chicks hatch out they take to the water, and the rafts are abandoned to other wildlife.
