Phoenix goes home

May 6th we got a call on a downed eagle in the Combined Locks area. A quick call to the local conservation officer, Mike Young, and the bird was caught with help of the finder, Joe Nussbaum. Abe Young assisted in the capture also. The bird was taken to the Wolf River vet clinic for x-rays and a check up. Dr Jim Ziegler did not find any injuries. We gave it R and R and then released it on June 9th back where it was found.
