At each site we take in a table, bands, banding tools, scale, cotton bags and heavy gloves.
The osprey mount was only taken in at the first site. This young bird was on the ground and died within a day from a puncture wound in the chest. We got permission from US Fish and Wildlife to have it mounted for education. We put a US Fish and Wildlife band and a color band on it so the public could see what we are doing when banding the live birds.
