EGYPTIAN GOOSE - THANK YOU, DAN AND LEE!

The Woodlands, Country Club and Resort

The whole family of these birds were gathered around Claudia's patio at the resort Friday night. Dan Ng and Lee Rudd told me what kind of bird this is and now I know. Egyptian Goose! Thanks guys!

Why that is the red-eyed dew-speckled Texas quacker brought over by Santa Anna in 1836.

Hi Cindi...this is an "Egyptian Goose," an introduced bird from Africa and not a native bird to North America. Quite a striking photo you've captured with the water reflecting off (the flash?).
