His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor Air Chief Marshal Sir John Cheshire KBE CB, photographed today at the re-opening of the Jersey Heritage Trust site, the Mont Orgueil Castle. Sir John Cheshire has been Her Majesties represenative on the island since 2001 and the re-opening of the castle was his last ceremonial duty before his retirement. He and Lady Cheshire will be missed as their ceremonial and political liasing roles are handed over to Sir Andrew Ridgeway. This smile is probaby the best way that his presence will be remebered on this Island.
