Hermite Crab

These little critters grow to about an inch (2.5 cm)
long and are very timid and fast. This one was a bit
smaller at about half of a centimeter. This snapshot
was grabbed when this little beauty ran along the
pavement. This is the roadside and the background
was just not inspiring. I had my macro lens on
which is why the DOF is so shallow.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Hehehe, I forgot to mention that the pavement ran between the hotel and the shore line. I was photographing those ...or at least trying to, funky green and brown anole lizards. Anything moving along the pavement just attracted attention. Finding Nemo... I guess that I may be one of the last people on earth who has not yet seen the first movie... Perhaps if I had, I would have come up with a more orihginal title... Either way, Thanks Steve!
