Saint Anthony's Greek Orthodox monastery is located where you might least expect it -- in the desert south of Phoenix along the old Oracle Road to Tucson. About 40 monks from many parts of the world live at the monastery. It is also a pilgrimage destination for Greek Orthodox faithful from around the world. The monastery was opened in the 1990s and its buildings and remarkable landscaping are still under development.
