WLIR Non-Conformal Ball, April 1985

This party for 92.7 FM, Hempstead, NY was at The Ritz on East 11th Street and 3rd Avenue in New York (now called Webster Hall). WLIR "Dare To Be Different" was in it's heyday in the early-mid eighties and for a few years they had a "Non-Conformal Ball." the first one I went to in '83 or '84, Eddie Murphy showed up and I shook his hand. Madonna was invited as well, but she never showed up. I remember The Residents and The Comateens in the crowd.

I was the DJ for the show that night, and the '86 show as well.
