Thanks Lynn, I appreciate it. I went into Charlotte blind (like most of the other cities on that trip), I had no idea I could create a cultural faux pas so easily :-D! Hopefully they chalk it up to my being a hick from the backwoods of the country.

Hey guys, you're both wrong! Charlotte no longer has an Uptown or Downtown--it is now "Center City". :-)

Your pics of Charlotte refer to a Downtown.
Charlotte DOES NOT have a downtown.
It has an UPTOWN.
Trust me on this.
