The gatehouse,reflected in the moat.More impressive than many castles I've visited,this building is just the gatehouse,to the priory grounds.Michelham Priory,is surrounded by a moat,1 mile round,the longest such,in Britain.

The Wealdway ldp,passes this beautiful place,coming within 50 yards of it.I walked past it on Sunday 7/10/2012,but this is the best shot of it,I took and it was 5 years ago.Why?,because it is screened off by trees,and you're unable to see anything of it.A bitter disappointment.
