Chipping Ongar Castle;the moat

The motte of the castle still stands about 50ft. high.It is on the lhs of this shot,whilst the moat is still filled with water.The town high street still runs along the same line as shown on the drawing.As can clearly be seen,the motte is heavily wooded.It is private.
