Dolforwyn Castle,as it may have looked, when in use.

Dolforwyn,Powys,Cymru view map

I feel that this image and title,is,somewhat misleading,as Dolforwyn Castle was never really in use.As soon as Llewellyn began construction,Edward I wrote to him telling him not to build the castle.Llewellyn replied that he did not need the English King's permission to build a castle on his own land.Edward appears to have taken offence at such a reply,so,as soon as it was finished, the English laid seige and took over ownership of the castle.
