Muscovy Duck (Cairina moschata)

Ibaraki, Japan

The Muscovy Duck (Cairina moschata) is a large perching duck that breeds inland in central and tropical South America. It is a species whose normal habitat is forest lakes and streams. It is a non-migratory bird and often roosts in trees at night. Its most distinguishing feature is its bare red face. (from Wikipedia)

it says non-migratory, so i presume it would stay in south america, but my uncle and grandma have seen one just like it in north somerset, england while walking their dogs. they've taken a picture of it and from what i can see its the same breed or at the very least similar.
