NGC 1398 The Dreamcatcher

Cropped from full frame

Looking like it has been drawn with a Spirograph and about 7.5' X 5.5' in size, NGC 1398 is an
isolated barred spiral galaxy exhibiting a very geometrical double ring structure that resembles a
Dreamcatcher. It is located 65 million light years from the Earth, in the constellation of Fornax.
The galaxy, with a diameter of 135,000 light years, is slightly larger than the Milky Way and has
over 100 billion stars.

Well it looks good enough to me! You gotta check out NGC 1371!

Yes I agree, there is a little colour noise, more obvious on a phone screen than a good monitor though.
I got impatient with this one and wanted to collect more data but mt patience ran out..as it sometimes does :-) I don't have an automated observatory, I have to travel to my site and turn the dome by hand every 30min for up to 10 hrs in temps down to -8.7C...sooo, sometimes close enough is good enough :-)

Hmmm, could do with more RGB? Can see a bit of colour noise.
