Many moons ago now........
Measuring 1.5m X 0.8m, this huge mozaic covering over 1/3 of our Milky Way Galaxy was taken
in 1984 when I was 16 years old. It is composed of 8 individual 12" x 8" prints each
enlarged from 35mm negatives with exposures of 30min on Kodak Ektachrome 400 slide film
using a 50mm lens. This unique panel formed part of a multi award winning display entered
in the 1984 ACT Schools Science Fair in Canberra ACT Australia.
This is a photograph of the glass mounted mozaic so is not a good representation of the
true real life visual quality, in person the mozaic frames were actually all quite sharp.
