John great idea. It has a bit the feel of a Daguerre type photo. Personally I would have gone for a night shot approach with camera on a tripod, low iso and long exposure and see what (if anything) have would come out of the camera. Nice one.

Fully agree to jp! Perfect title also. What I do not like too much is the frame in this particular case. IMHO it is too "sophisticated" for the simplicity of the image and may distract.

This was an early morning fog as seen from my fourth floor balcony window. When there is no fog, I have a great view to the south. In the winter I can see the sun rise in the left of this frame and set to the right. In between, there are some modern buildings and some industrial wasteland, with a huge bridge and a light rail track in the distance. Of course, this is all hidden by the fog. There was very little light so I used ISO 3200, which gives a kind of curtain effect. Just across the road there's a little park bordered by a stand of bare limbed trees, that you can almost see through the fog and the curtain...jrdu
