Thanks Karen, he's also docile and also conditioned to eat mice ;-) but he eats any old how :-P

Excellent series of close-ups. I once owned a Western Hognose that had been conditioned to ear young mice instead of toads. It was quite docile and handleable. Seems strange that your snake didn't swallow the mouse head first, although it made for much more dramatic photos! Many people are surprised that hognosed snakes are rear-fanged. Voted.
