This was taken a few minutes after sunset when the sunlight was giving a reddish tone to the sky. While taking this photograph, I was standing in the changing surf and covering the lens whenever a large swell would hit the rocks. When I got home, the tripod got a good bath to get the salt water off of it.

The final image consists of a single exposure pushed and pulled in RAW processing. The two files were then blended with contrast masking.
