Mountain Meadow, Trees and Flowers

Northern California

The subject of this image is the tree in the background. The flowers are there to help you find it. This is another shot with the 45mm TS/E lens and I have to say that if you shot Canon and do landscape/nature type work, this lens is a MUST HAVE. In this case, I was able to shoot at f5.6 and keep the flowers and far background in VERY sharp focus while maintaining ISO 100 and a fast shutter speed (wind was blowing). I should have used the 90mm (perhaps) keeping the flowers the same size but doubling the size of the background tree. As it is, however, I am very happy with this image and it is among my favorite from the trip.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II ,Canon TS-E 45mm f/2.8
This uses about a 6 degree tilt to maintain sharp focus throughout the image. full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
