These are birds that come through to stay or carry on North as far away as the Acrtic. They stop and feed at temporary lakes formed in our grain fields just near to the house. It was especially exciting this year as 4 Tundra Swans stayed back and appear to be nesting, but I haven't looked yet for fear of disturbing them. They all were at the pond by the house and I got some pictures-still learning how to use my new lens , so bear with me.
