The Little Poland Vistula Gorge - the Vistula stretch between the confluence point with the Sanna river and Pulawy town.
This natural riverbed of the Vistula River, a wild and picturesque part of Poland, deserved to be included among Poland's greatest treasures, it became part of the European network of protected areas "Natura 2000".
The Vistula Gorge is an important mainstay for numerous bird species. For the many species of birds migrating south from Northern Europe to their wintering grounds, the Vistula River valley consitutes an important flyway.

Kazimierz Dolny is a small town in eastern Poland, on the right (eastern) bank of the Vistula river in Pulawy County, Lublin Province.
It enjoyed its greatest prosperity in the 16th and the first half of the 17th century, due to the trade in grain conducted along the Vistula. It became an economic backwater after that trade declined, and this freeze in economic development enabled the town to preserve its Renaissance urban plan and appearance. Since the 19th century Kazimierz Dolny has become a popular holiday destination, attracting artists and summer residents as one of the most beautifully situated little towns in Poland. Scenically located on the bank of the River Vistula and encircled by low wooded hills, Kazimierz Dolny offers an impressive number of historic sights for such a tiny town. With its pre-war, precommunist charm, visitors can experience a Poland lost in time.
Besides the cobblestone streets and historic villas, visitors to Kazimierz Dolny can look forward to panoramic views of the countryside, the ruins of a castle (16th century), the tower (14th century), the Hill of Three Crosses, the Market Square, the Saint Anna's Church (14th century) and the Parish Church (XVI century). Kazimierz Dolny is an art center in Poland. Many painters retreat to this small town to paint and sell their work. Galleries can be found in almost every street, offering for sale sculptures, stained-glass, and fine-art paintings. Kazimierz Dolny is favoured for its relaxed bohemian atmosphere, incomparable with any other place in Poland.
