Wanda's Secret Alcove2 06_27_09.jpg

Sorry, but this is the last of the photos from the canyon hike. The model was more than a tad worried we might get seen and we were with a small group of friends that were kind enough to give us a few minutes alone to make these photographs.

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/40s f/10.0 at 24.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Thanks Bill for being our guide up this canyon.......to think, I was photographing a lizard up the canyon while this was going on.

Bob from down under beat me to it, but then I've already put in my requests to come back as a tree, and Orrin G amongst others, so, he can be the rock I guess.

Wanda, Bill, I said it before and I'll say it again...you two folks are the CATS MEOW!!!!! Just when you think it can't get any better, the Bates Team, strikes again. Outstanding composition, color, and lighting.

Bill,I have to agree with the other Dave's comment. The lines on this are incredible,I like Wanda's pose and placement in the image on the other shot. But this one is equally stunning.Well done.-Dave

Feel like an old time western cowboy coming up on an incredible find......and I am talking something worth more than gold........a beautiful woman alone in the wilderness! What a great shot Bill.

Bill,
Love the location. How did you convince Wanda to even stand in the muddy water, not knowing what was lurking there? Sorry to hear this is the last of the series. As always, Wanda makes any photo a keeper.

If I had told you last week that I'd decided I was going to spend the rest of my life as a rock resting on the shore of a waterhole - you would have said "Stupid!", and moved on to another more scintillating conversation? Well - not any more!!! Oh, to be a rock, resting by the shore of a waterhole, minding my own business ...........

How could you ever leave that place ?
Dave from SC 01-Jul-2009 05:22
Bill this one's great but I like the vertical composition much better. Incredible light is right, but the model, and scenery ain't bad either. I've followed, and been amazed by your work for several years now. There is no other like Wanda.
