These pictures were taken on April 17, 2008 during Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the campus of the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where he spoke to over 200 Catholic educators gathered at the university center.

Outside the center Catholics and other admirers of all ages, including college students and entire families, gathered on the campus grounds to welcome the Pontiff and to catch a glimpse of him as he greeted the crowds after his speech.
