This national homebrewers competition was held in Washington, DC on February 7 & 8, 2003. It was hosted by the Washington, DC area homebrew club, BURP (Brewers United for Real Potables).

A reception, sponsored by Representative Jim Moran (D-VA), was held on the evening of Feb. 7 at the Caucus Room of the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill. A beer tasting and presentation by leading area brewers was held the next afternoon at the Brickskeller, followed by the MCAB-V banquet and awards ceremony at an American Legion Post in Arlington, Virginia that evening.
