A fantastic gallery. I love all the varety and colors. "V"
Words are inadequate to describe the suprilative nature of this gallery. Its nice to know that the real New York City still exists in the hinterlands beyond the Guiliani/Disneyland of cleaned up Manhattan. You've captured it well.
I'm not local, but still get the impression that you captured the spirit of these neighbourhoods very well. V.
I love this gallery!
Always nice to see new additions to this gallery. Regards Bygaspo.
Splendid gallery, stunning shots. GMV
Flippin' sweet! Great pics! Love the color!
Your photographs express (to me) that you really love New York. You're getting me to like it a little bit better even though I'm not too fond of big cities. Definitely fond of what I've seen of your galleries. :-)
I found this old fashion candy store with a soda fountain in the Bronx:
. The pcitures are not as good as yours, but idea is the same.
Great colors and contrasts of the city. Great Job!
These pictures bring back great memories. I have been living in Houston for the past 12 years, it great to have a gallery available to remind me of some of the best times in my life. I have lived in the Bronx all my life except for the past 9 years.
Since 1937 I was living in the Bronx. It was a beautiful place. I
saw all the changes. I worked in Alexanders Dept. Store part time. Went to Fordham Rd to shop and go to Woolworths. Went to the RKO theater. Went to Jahns Icecream soda shop. Went to the Lowe's Paradise on Sunday to see a movie and watch the stars lit in the sky while sitting in the balcony. My Mother was born in 1905 near Dyre Ave and Boston Rd.
She lived in the Bronx all her life and is now living in Spring Valley during
her 100th yr. Our family is in St Raymonds Cemetary and that will be my mothers
place with my dad when she leaves us. Thank you for the picture gallery. It is
