This guitar was originally owned by the late Anna (Hutchinson) Hoopii, widow of Sol Hoopii who was known by many as the "King of the Hawaiian Guitar". The guitar was given to Anna by her father when she was a teenager in 1931. Anna died at the age of 90 on August 30, 2003 and willed it to her close friend and care giver, who sold it to me in June of 2007.
