The Unexpected 1

I was walking along the edge of Blue Pond when I saw sparkling in a footprint in the mud. I put a closeup filter on my 200mm and got as close as I could. I think it may have been freshly deposited eggs of an insect. I wish I could have gotten it a little sharper, but it's very extraterrestial this way.

Makes for a wonderful abstraction.

Pearls was what I thought it looked like, some very expensive adornment for a wrist or neck! Great stuff.
Guest 17-Jul-2005 17:20
Great catch! (Yes, both images give me a somewhat "extraterrestial" impression, reminding me of astronomy photographs of distant galaxies.)
Guest 12-Jul-2005 12:27
Good eye! You may have lost the glistening effect, which is a lot of the appeal, had you gotten a sharper image. :)
Guest 11-Jul-2005 11:11
