Sandra, it looks like everything comes around in a full circle. It would appear that dear Heidi had her house seized by the Bailiff for not paying her mortgages. www.ilmb.gov.bc.ca/slrp/lrmp/nanaimo/clayoquot_sound/archive/reports/20080703110129.pdf. I searched her 'new' name after you posted it here. Also, from comments she has made on her Flicker site, it sounds like she was also robbed. Now she knows how it feels to have your own possessions taken without permission. Karma always takes care of people like Heidi. If she insists on still trying to sell the stolen works of others, she will only have herself to blame for all the bad luck that comes her way.

Heidi Knutson was told by the photographer to remove the painting from her internet sites where she was selling it. She was allowed to keep the painting for personal use only as agreed. She complied - for a few days. She now has posted a PORTION of the painting with the following message: "Actually..., I have painted a whole Cheetah lying in the reeds, BUT the Photographer won't let me show it on line. SOOO, I just took a close up of his one eye. Haha".
She shows no remorse, she shows no respect. She can't call herself 'an artist' with this behaviour. She's just a thief and a liar.

In her message to me April 17, 2008, she wrote these comments:
".... I am human, made a " mistake" and have tried to go back and rectify where I could, but of course I am not taken seriously! Now, I am truly aware of the disaster it has caused, and not in my wildest nightmares, did I ever think of the horrified dismay and infringements on the photog's rights that it has created.

... I publicly appologize here, now, to the few Photographers I could not track down and had not asked for permission to paint their image. I truly have learned my lesson a million times over.

...I have NO desire to ever go back on the web with my paintings."

It didn't take her long to ask a photographer for permission to paint for personal use, and then put the painting on the internet for sale for $900! She knows there is a huge difference between being given permission to paint, and painting to sell. This was explained to her at length by me, and by her own family, and she said she fully understood. This time, she can't claim ignorance like she tried the last time. This time, we've proven that she just doesn't respect other artists and will continue to sell their works for profits.
