St Andrew's Ingleby Greenhow

North Yorkishire

References to the church in Ingleby Greenhow date back to the twelfth century.
The chancel arch, the nave arcade, and the lower parts of the tower and adjoining
walls all show evidence of stonework from the Norman period. There are some unusual
carvings on the capitals of the pillars in the north side of the nave depicting
beasts; sea monsters and grotesque heads.

A nice view of this historic old church.
