800 miles of driving, 12 hours of night racing and 2 teams of 8 people racing a relay over the 12 hours, racing road trips are awesome!
Spent the week end at the marin Dusk Til Dawn 12 hour night race this weekend, all kicked off at 20:00 and finnished at 08:00 the following morning, the course while not hilly was fast and hard with many technical singletrack sections to be honest it was a great course, one i would happily ride again and again...oh yeah already did that bit and man can my body feel it, my body feels as though i have been the victim of a brutal assault both physical and mental, gonna take a few more days of recovery before i can ride at full strength again, so glad i made it to the end this time.
I had hoped to come away with a mini diary of the event but i will have to get more organised at racing, i am so used to being there just to take photos at these event that i found i was badly organised, the season is now over and we are planning on doing a few more next year including a couple of 24 hour events, i should be sorted then and will put something better together for one of those, should be good.
