Shot on board the Rhapsody of the Seas in the Pacific Ocean en route to Hawaii
It was not an easy shot for me because the window of opportunity was so short and I had to be there at the right time. Unfortunately, time was not on my side. We had to adjust our clock by 1 hour each day but the Ship Calendar made a mistake and we were there waiting for the sun rise one hour too early. Everyone of the more than 2,400 guests were still asleep. My wife and I were like a couple of idiots standing on the top deck in total darkness waiting for the sun to rise. Of course I was not sure whether we were there one hour too early or not and we just kept waiting and waiting. I was feeling quite chilly for the whole time as I did not wear warm enough. I did not want to go back to the cabin to get my warm jacket fearing that I might miss the opportunity. Finally I got this shot and it was well worth it.
