The waterfall Öxarárfoss was frozen as it had been very cold the last few days before Christmas. But a part of it was still running and had not frozen.
If you look closely at the rockwall to the right of the picture you will see a face in the rocks. No wonder all the sagas formed about the trolls that turned to stone when they were exposed to sunlight.
