The Rest of the Story...

November 16, 2010: Groundbreaking for the George W. Bush library at SMU (Southern Methodist University) in Dallas, Texas.

Under a large white tent, festivities commenced. Police, FBI, Secret Service were everywhere.

On the other side of the campus, about a quarter mile away, there was the solemn beat of a solitary drum as about 100 protesters marched in single file in protest of the Bush policies, the war in Iraq, and the torture techniques used.
They marched in remembrance of the dead.
As they crossed the road from Mockingbird Station to the campus, horns honked... some in support and others against the protest.

Next to a display of white crosses, there were speeches, singing and chanting.
The protest was a peaceful expression of dissenting voices demanding accountability so that history not repeat itself and be remembered for what it was.

I present to you a piece of photojournalism. Though many may have differing opinions on the politics of the day, it is my desire that you respect the right to freedom of speech without being rude or offensive in response.
