Armenian Cucumber

This baby weighed in at 5 pounds!
Also called snake melon or snake cucumber, it has a mild flavor, a little bit similar to a honeydew melon but not as sweet and has seeds similar to a melon.

My son-in-law thought it was some kind of squash and my other son-in-law actually guessed that it was a cucumber.
The skin is quite thin and edible. We sliced off thin pieces and sprinkled them with some lemon-pepper. I prefer not to eat the seeds.

It thrives in hot weather. In that case, Lefty should have a bumper crop this year!

I wasn't expecting that. I read a bit about it on (where else) Google.
Thanks for the vie of the inside.
