One of my four resident deer-- who are usually found lounging close to the house and like to be fed by hand... preferably apples-- Jackson's name was inspired by the oddly endearing abstract arrangement of his antlers, and was, of course, in honor of Jackson Pollock. Whether or not his new antlers next season will grow in this unusual manner is anyone's guess, but the name will stay.
