"The Brotherhood Tree", named to commemorate the brotherhood of man, is over 2,000 years old, 297 feet in height, 19 feet in diameter, and more than 60 feet in circumference. Its top cannot be seen in this photograph, but to get some sense of its size, note the person standing near its base in the lower right hand corner of the image. This magnificent coastal redwood is located on the "Trees of Mystery" trail, 45 minutes south of the Oregon-California border on Highway 101.
